Ever since the start back in 2012 Stockholm Voices has been growing and developing as a group. We’ve had the oppurtunity to work with fantastic musicians and wonderful people and have had the opportunity to perform in amazing venues. It has been a lot of hard work but also many great memories.
2024 marks a new chapter for Stockholm Voices. We are thrilled to announce our new member - Anton Forsberg! Anton is no novice in the jazz singing world. His upbringing in the town of Norrköping was pervaded by music. The introduction of jazz music in his life came from his grandfather, who recognized that the records he played in his car made Anton instinctively react with interest and excitement. Among the artists that especially caught Anton's attention were Louis Armstrong, Billie Holiday and John Coltrane.
During his studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm he was also a part of the renowned Danish vocal group Touche, gaining valuable experience of what it means to make music a cappella and to perform at a very high professional level - touring all over Europe. The experience he gained with the danish group gave him the foundation for taking the next step in his career, becoming a member of the legendary a capella group The Real Group. As a freelancing vocalist and guitar player, he has worked with groups and artists such as the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Anders Berglund, Ellen Andersson, among others.
Now it´s our great pleasure to welcome Anton to the group and we are looking forward to enjoying his warm tenor voice which will contribute greatly to the Stockholm Voices sound. Welcome Anton Forsberg!
