Gunilla Törnfeldt – soprano, arranger and artistic director
The founder and leader of Stockholm Voices. She studied jazz voice and improvisation at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Her bright, cool, versatile voice has earned her awards from Friends of Jazzclub Fasching and Swedish Arts Council among others. She has released two solo albums with original music – “A Time For Everything” (2009) and most recently “Behind the Mask” (2017). She is also a member of the faculty at the Ingesund School of Music at University of Karlstad.
Maria Winther – alto
Maria’s warm and heartfelt voice gave her in 2011 the prestigeous Monica Zetterlund award. She studied jazz voice at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm where she developed a close collaboration with late pianist Gösta Rundqvist, which resulted in her debut album Dreamsville in 2006. After many visits to New York, Maria has a fruitful collaboration with guitarist Brandon Ross in the project Outline.
Alexander Lövmark – tenor
This fabulous jazz vocalist lives in Gothenburg. Alexander studied jazz voice and improvisation at the Music Academy in Gothenburg and released his EP “The View” with his own music in 2010. In July 2017, he won the Shure Montreux Jazz Festival Voice Competition, competing against jazz vocalists from all over the world. Alexanders debut full length album ”Perfect Storm” was released not long after in January 2018, produced and arranged by Vanessa Liftig. The album consists of original music by Lövmark himself, and it features rising star tenor sax player Melissa Aldana.
Jakob Sollevi – baritone
Jakob studied jazz voice at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. You can hear his golden voice in the luxury cocktail band Avenue among others. He also writes and sings his own fenomenal soul/pop-hit songs and is working on his solo debut where the Swedish lyrics are fused with catchy pop melodies.
